Thanks for your interest in the knitted grapes pattern. I’ve added the pattern to my Patterns for Peacebuilders available on Etsy (here's the link). If the pattern is sold out when you get there, just send me a message and I’ll relist it for you. Good luck!

I would love to see the pattern for the bunch of grapes using bobbles. I have a baby shower w/ an autumn theme, and I'm making by sister-in-law a diaper cake w/ a cornucopia theme. I want to top it w/ fruit hats. I've already made an apple (you can see my daughter wearing it in one of my recent blog entries) and I've made the apple hat from Crazy Aunt Purl's blot (but modified it to have a 2x2 rib instead of a 4x4 at the bottom). I'd like to have a 3rd fruit to help top the cake. Since they are having a little boy, berries are out. I've navigated a little on your site, and I find I' keep running in circles (of course, I only had one cup of coffee today).
Thanks in advance for your help!

Your Challah is beautiful. I made one myself last weekend, well three, and I've been making them for years as they've been part of our Sabbath tables since I was a child :)

I came to this site through Ravelry because of the beauty your Kippah. When I read the inspiration for this it lead me to your blog. How surprized I was to find, erev Pesach, such a beautiful articulation of my own pain over Israel's use of white phosphorous and her increasing lean to the right. I will be reading your blog from now on and may even make a 'thinking cap' of my own.

I'm glad you've found your way here, Wendy, and that this project reflects your vision of justice as well. I look forward to future conversations with you. Any chance that you might join me in knitting for peace and contributing to the TIkkunTree?

Psst... I think you mean "King of the Universe" yes? Our friend, spell checker, seems to have offered you "University" instead. :-)
Alexandra

No, that's not a spellcheck glitch. Rather, it's the translation of the prayer Jerry Haber (the Magnes Zionist) intended, and it makes fine sense to me.

Hello! Thanks so much for this lovely idea. :-) Just wondering, where do the chopsticks come in for the recipe? I see you say you can "knit" the bread, but I've never done this. Is that what they're for? If so, is this easily: done?
Thanks again!
Alexandra

I'm so glad that this project speaks to you, Alexandra. Yes, the "chef-sized" chopsticks serve as knitting needles here. Easily done? ... it depends on the consistency and width of your challah "yarn". This sacrificial dove took a fair bit of care in the making, but the challenge of the process was an important part of the vigil, and its meaning. After all, the work of making peace is a challenge we must all accept and contribute to, don't you think?
